Cool/Sexy
Here is a list of 5 guys who are exceedingly cool in my opinion. And rock sex appeal.
3. Prince
4. Daniel Johns*
5. Johnny Depp
1. David Bowie.
GaGa before there was Lady. Could possibly be the coolest guy on the planet? He managed to make lycra, eye patches and red hair look sexy as Ziggy Stardust. He deserves to be number one just for that. I love him!
He is no great shakes in the looks department, especially now...worst handlebar moustache EVER! But he sure can pull off sexy cool when he is performing. If you don't believe me, Youtube the clip for Stagger Lee. You'll get it. Plus generally a super talented and forward thinking artist.
3. PrincePerhaps an unexpected choice but c'mon, It' PRINCE! Any short dude who can pull off purple suits, turbans and all around femininity but still exude sex appeal (Gett Off is one of the filthiest songs ever) has got to be considered super cool. Plus he changed his name to a symbol which is pretty rad. Great music. Great style. Amazing perspective.....He recently declared the internet as a fad. Prince is great.
4. Daniel Johns*Well okay these days Daniel Johns can tend to come across as a bit of a wanker, but I still love him. He will always be 1990's Daniel Johns in my eyes. Amazingly talented musically (if you forget the past few albums and Paul Mac crap) and a pretty stylish guy. Having seen him live on stage I can honestly say I've never witnessed anything so sexual! It came as a bit of a surprise, because he doesn't exactly have the Calvin Klein physique. But anyway...HOT! And he rocks vintage like no other.
*(Daniel Johns is a bit of an obsession. Get used to posts about him.)
5. Johnny DeppYou really can't create a list about cool guys without mentioning J. Depp. It's self explanatory. Sexiest man alive. Some of the greatest movies. Looks damn fine in a suit. Bangin'.

First Love

When I was a 'tween' the love of my life was Leo. I actually squealed when my dad brought home the VHS of Titanic (yep DVD's weren't invented yet kids). My bedroom wall was plastered with his beautiful face. Now thats a good looking tween heart throb. Fuck Justin Bieber.
(I still think he's a babe. For a middle aged dude.)

Absolutely adore the latest General Pants Co. lookbook. Besides the fact that I want every single item shown, I think the styling is amazing. Every outfit totally represents to perfection the 90's revival, which I am loving (obsessing over) right now.

If Only I Could Be As Cool As You
I have no idea who this pretty lady is but I've seen her floating around on a million blogs. These pictures were all found on Johnnys Bird. She is so fascinating and herion chic. I love her grungy style and attitude, and the fact that she's not classically beautiful but still mesmerizing. Major girl crush forming!

Nothing Rhymes With Orange
Advanced Style
Forget about The Sartorialist and Garance Dore....Advanced Style is about a thousand times better! Featuring streetstyle snaps of some impeccably dressed elders, I find it SO inspiring. These people really know how to dress, and even better aren't restricted by conforming to trends and peer judgements. They are so much more daring with what they wear and aren't afraid of colour! I also enjoy that alot of the outfits blend original vingtage with chain store clothing. As well as being daring they also show how to dress simply with class, alot holding on to dress codes of past decades. God bless the elderly and the people at Advanced Style.Advanced Style - http://advancedstyle.blogspot.com/

"You're a mountain that I'd like to climb"

Years back my older sister was always banging on about some band called Incubus and I was like "Yeah whatever sis...stop friggen talking about them!!!". Then I actually listened to them and since then, I've been a loyal convert and go as far as to say they are my FAVOURITE BAND of ALL TIME. It helps that lead singer Brandon Boyd is a total babe/artist/surfer/amazing!! Yesterday he released his solo album The Wild Trapeze. And I would totally review it, but IT'S NOT RELEASED IN AUSTRALIA! Damn southern hemisphere.
And the pic above is a fave that I stalkerly taxed from his official Facebook page...it's not creepy if it's public right?

Mehico.

Recently took a trip to Mexico. And by that I mean went to Taco Bill and got mild food poisoning...pretty much an authentic Mexican experience. But I am now inspired to share this editorial "Muchachos" from No. Magazine. Everything about it is so perfect. The styling and locations are incredible and I want everything! Probably my favourite editorial I've seen recently, but I am a little biased because I like to think I'm a little Mexican on the inside! Mainly because of my love/love relationship with tequila.

"You wanna play scissors, paper, stone again?"

I went to the Tim Burton exhibition here in Melbourne yesterday and it blew me away! So incredible to be in the same room as all the props from some of my favourite movies including A Nightmare Before Christmas, Edwards Scissorhands, Ed Wood, Batman, Beetlejuice...the list goes on.
The Edward Scissorhands suit was definately a highlight, being so close to something JOHNNY DEPP THE SEXIEST MAN ALIVE!!!! has worn. But besides the props it was amazing to see Tim Burtons drawings and sketches, he really is an artist. I was also surprised to find out he directed the music video for The Killers song 'Bones' which I had always thought was clever.
Well worth going to see if you are in Melbourne, I wish I could have taken some photos but understandably it wasn't allowed. It's on at ACMI at Federation Square until October I think.
